Values of Internet Technologies (VIT) - Announcement and Call for Donations

The Internet Society Switzerland Chapter (ISOC-CH) and the Swiss p≡p Foundation are proud to announce the first workshop out of six around Values of Internet Technologies (VIT). This first workshop will focus on Decentralization. Privacy, trust and security are at stake ‒ in a pure technical sense as well as economically and socially. Decentralization is a significant feature for more agility, justice and resilience in our societies and their digital infrastructure.

We encourage you to participate. Attending the workshop will be free of charge. However, the p≡p Foundation is looking for donations to cover expenses related to the workshop. You can support p≡p here. Any surplus in donations will be used for joint projects between GNUnet e.V. and p≡p Foundation.

The workshop will take place on 25th of January 2018 in Biel/Bienne, hosted by Berner Fachhochschule (BFH). It will be a combination of discussions and hands-on training to privacy, anonymity and security online. Among other invited experts, Christian Grothoff will give a talk about decentralized Internet architecture and its benefits, technologically, politically and for the user. GNUnet e.V. is cooperating closely with the p≡p Foundation in various aspects.

Early registration is recommended: https://www.isoc.ch/events/vit
