Requirements

Freeway requires an installed copy of GNUnet in order to use the native modules. Currently, Freeway will not work unless GNUnet has been installed. You can obtain GNUnet from the GNUnet website.

The Freeway build scripts use Sh, Autotools, Make, Ant, and Jikes. You will also need a working C toolchain and Java runtime environment.

Getting Freeway

There are no official releases available. The latest developer code can be checked out of the SVN repository.

Compiling

To generate the build scripts, run sh bootstrap. Then run sh configure. If configure doesn′t find GNUnet, you may need to use sh configure --with-gnunet=<path to GNUnet>. Finally, build Freeway and its native components by running sh build.sh.

Running Freeway

After Freeway has been compiled, it can be run using sh etc/gnunetd.sh. Note: recent versions of Freeway probably only support the native gnunet-stats application. See also: documentation/configuration
